From Goodreads: Rose Zarelli, self-proclaimed word geek and angry girl, has some confessions to make
1. I'm livid all the time. Why? My dad died. My mom barely talks. My brother abandoned us. I think I'm allowed to be irate, don't you?
2. I make people furious regularly. Want an example? I kissed Jamie Forta, a badass guy who might be dating a cheerleader. She is nowenraged and out for blood. Mine.
3. High school might as well be Mars. My best friend has been replaced by an alien, and I see red all the time. (Mars is red and "seeing red" means being angry—get it?)
Here are some other vocab words that describe my life: Inadequate. Insufferable. Intolerable.
(Don't know what they mean? Look them up yourself.)(Sorry. That was rude.)

Rose Zarelli is angry, none of this pretend teenage angst this is all out anger. Not that anyone would blame her she is trying to deal with the death of her father, her mother is only talking to her if she has to, she has made an enemy out of a cheerleader and her best friend has changed overnight.
Confessions is a story about loss and guilt, it focuses on Rose who is coming to terms with the death of her father and her subsequent anger issues. I found this to be quite a slow read that didn't have a lot going on but I still found myself drawn to Rose. The main focus aside from Rose's issues are the popular girls in school one especially who is bullying Rose to extreme levels, and her best friend who is so desperate to become part of the popular crowd she starts acting differently.
I struggled to connect with Rose and found her to be self centered and I wanted to tell her to get over herself and grow up but I still found myself turning the page and sucked in to the story.
Overall I enjoyed Confessions of an Angry Girl and will be interested to see how the author continues this series in book two.
Confessions of an Angry Girl is published by Harlequin and is due to be released on the 28th August
Thank you to Harlequin for providing me with a copy of this book via NetGalley to review.
